Cuprum is in stage 11 of the ironseries, which is similar to libra.

Libra is the first sign above the horizon of the zodiac. With aries the process started with a new moon phase, and here with libra it is full moon, the process turns around.

But now it is in the outside world, and libra represents the ‘other’, as opposed to the ‘me’ of aries.

Libra is the polarity between projecting and ignorance with the final purpose of reflection. And this in the ironseries which is similar to virgo.

Perfection of the approach to life. Development of mundane skills, ability to change to adapt to life better. Service, helping, perfectionist, always seeking to improve, efficiency, practical, functional, analytical. Interested in crafts and projects, true to self in a simple, unassuming manner. Reacts to defeats and setbacks by pulling back and altering approach. Lives up to duties and responsibilities.

So at this point the skills are developed, but now others react to that. And how far do you go in maintaining your own approach.  This might explain the cramping state of Cuprum.

In Homeopathy and the elements:

Very serious. Not want to loose control. Keep emotions under control, stay friendly and kind. Hold on to thoughts. Precise and rigid. Rules have to be followed, than nothing can go wrong. Rules give a sense of safety. Others also have to follow the rules. And if others do not follow the rules they will tell. Need to double-check everything. Everything has to be perfectly tested. Feel a guard of the order and can be very irritated if others disturb that order. Because of the rigid compulsive behaviour they incline to rituals, a meaningless stereotype sequence of proceedings. Superstition. Sensitive to criticism. Very angry if others criticise them, touch them or even look at them. Need to hide and escape. Others have to obey the rules, fulfil their duty and keep their promise.

Cuprum

Argentum is in stage 11 of the silverseries. It is in the same stage as Cuprum, and it is the first stage that has an exchange with others on an individual level. In series as well as in stage it is similar to libra, the individual mind.

And sagittarius, the universal spirit as the other part of the silverseries.

Becoming a member of a wider society. Using your talents for the benefit of the greater whole. Awareness of connections to the rest of the world, can be distant from others. Aware of the value of the social contract. Enthusiastic, generous, loves abstract, theoretical ideas, sees the big picture, ignores the details. In love with an ideal, strong opinion.

In Prisma:

Argentum makes good public speakers, persons who lecture using logic and intellect, rather than what they really felt or experienced. The Argentum situation is one where the person has to perform intellectually and express himself through speech, singing, writing and also has to defend himself by intellect, speech and words.

So there is to much emphasis on the mind. Again in Prisma:

Inability to think. Cannot think properly. Reasoners come to the point when they can no longer reason, and the slightest mental effort brings on vertigo. For a moment appearing to be very intens and active in mind, and forgets all that he was talking about. Tired mentally and he forgets all that he was talking about. Loses the thread of his discourse and dreads to talk because he gets complaints while talking. If compelled to answer, he becomes dizzy, and feels strange all over, and has nervous shakes and shocks.

Scholten calls it the maecenas.

Hold on to their successful position, want to continue their success. Protect art, want literature and art preserved for the offspring. Conservative, want to keep what has proven itself. Delicate, inner civilisation. Not like to talk about their inferior feeling. Fear intimicy because then the civil behaviour falls away. Fearful to talk in public and for the camera. Become cramping and nervous. Can not be themselves, because they have to reflect an old standard. No solid ground under their feet. Nervousness expresses in their voice, hoarse.

The complement of libra is aries, which has to be integrated.

Activity that is self-motivated, unaffected by others. Unconcerned with approval or acceptance. Honest and fortright.

Along with gemini, the complement of sagittarius.

Clever, curious, communication. Playful, inconstant, attention easily drifts so something new, seeks novelty.

Argentum

With Terbium ‘the other’ comes in to play.  It is in stage 11 of the lanthanides, which is similar to libra, the first zodiac sign above the horizion. It is the phase of full moon and here the process turns around again.

Cuprum in stage 11 of the ironseries was about reflection on developed skills, and Argentum in the silverseries about reflection on art and inspiration. Here with the lanthanides, Terbium in stage 11 is about reflection on autonomy and inner development.

In Secret Lanthanides:

The most typical aspect of Terbium is a kind of gentlemanly quality. In all circumstances they try to stay friendly and in controle of themselves. It can express itself as a very charming quality.

Important here is to integrate the complement of libra, aries, the primordial spirit.  

Activity that is self-motivated, unaffected by others. New beginnings, the start of new cycles, birth, vitality. Aggressive, willful, assertive. Focused in short bursts, unlikely to sustain interest in the long term. Adventurous, pioneering, warrior-type energy, impatient, works best alone. Unconcerned with approval or acceptance.
